How conversant are you with matters to do with basic concepts of nutrition, maternal nutrition,  breastfeeding techniques, infant/newborn care, and complementary feeding? Poverty, food insecurity,  ignorance, lack of appropriate infant and young child feeding practices, the heavy burden of infectious  diseases and poor hygiene and sanitation are among the factors that are responsible for the high levels of  maternal and child undernutrition in developing countries.  Our MIYCN Training Workshop aims to help you understand and learn how to implement and promote  different feeding practices among mothers and families across different communities as well as cultivating a  greater understanding of good nutrition-related behaviour and improved nutrition outcomes for children,  especially within the first five years of life, this is because Maternal and infant nutrition saves lives and  supports the attainment of Sustainable development goals and future prosperity.
